A school board is most effective when the members work together as a team towards a shared goal of maintaining strong schools that provide a well-rounded education and adopt a fiscally sound budget. We know that strong schools = strong communities!

Values I will bring to the school board are:

Clear and Open Communication - Effective communication is essential for any school board, both board member to board member, and with the community. I will prioritize being open to hearing all viewpoints and actively listening to ensure that every perspective is considered in decision-making.

Collaboration - Each board member brings unique skills and strengths to the table. By collaborating, we can combine these strengths to ensure that our decisions are well-rounded and informed by a variety of perspectives. I am committed to working together with all members for the benefit of our school district.

Respect for Differences - Every board member has their own life experiences and values that shape their perspective. I will make it a point to respect those experiences and values, understanding they strengthen the board's ability to make well-informed decisions. 

Building Consensus - While opinions may differ, it is important that we work toward consensus. I will focus on understanding all viewpoints and finding common ground. Our decisions should reflect the collective will of the board and serve the best interests of the students and the school district as a whole.

My goals as a board member will be: 

Prepare Students for the Future - Our schools should equip students with the skills, knowledge, and resilience they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. I will work to ensure that our academic programs are adaptable, and focused on preparing students for success in the future, whether in college, career or life.

Be a Good Steward of Public Dollars - As a board member, I will work to ensure the efficient and effective use of our funding and resources. It is important the every dollar spent contributes to the the education of our students and supports the long-term sustainability of our district.

Champion Hudson Schools - I will work to educate and collaborate with our state representatives on the need for sustainable and equitable funding for Hudson Schools. It is essential that our schools are adequately supported through state dollars so we can continue to provide a high-quality education for all students.

Open and Clear Communication with the Community - Building trust with community starts with open and consistent communication. I will ensure that I remain transparent in my decisions and work to foster a two-way dialogue with families, teachers and residents so everyone's voice is heard and valued.
